China Telecom (Canada)Co. – 2020 Fresh Orientation Event

In the summer of 2020, China Telecom Canada Corporation collaborated with 15 Chinese student unions in top Canadian Universities and took part in 21 freshman orientations. The orientations were held in 7 main cities in China. Despite the global pandemic condition, there were over 1000 participation for first-year students and their parents. By setting up kiosks and presenting honored speeches, the new students and their parents were provided with an excellent opportunity to gain insight into China Telecom CTExcel's mobile plan and the brand.

China Telecom Canada collaborated with 15 top Canadian university's Chinese Student Association in the orientation meeting for 2020 newcomers in 7 major cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, Wuhan, and Dalian. In each session, China Telecom shared insight information about Canada's local mobile industry, with a strong focus on the product and price advantages of China Telecom CTExcel. The speech greatly attracted the audience's attention.

To better present our product and service, China Telecom CTExcel also set booths on-site where students and parents could get close to our CT staff and learn about Telecom's special promotion. Additionally, China Telecom CTExcel had services that were specially tailored for international students. Including dual number service, free 24/7 Chinese and English bilingual customer service, free shipping, etc. Although the 2020 freshmen students had no choice but to postpone their study abroad plan, they showed significant interest in China Telecom CTExcel's mobile service. Many Students joined the WeChat group to stay connected with our latest news; Even more students chose to purchase the SIM card for their next year's study trip.

This event allowed more international students to learn about China Telecom Canada. China Telecom CTExcel had also become the preferred mobile phone operator brand for Chinese international students.
