to celebrate second anniversary of its Italian Office

2020-07-15

China Telecom (Europe) Ltd. (CTE) launched its CTExcel mobile communication service in Italy on July 15, 2020, held via a virtual ceremony combined with celebrating the second anniversary of its Italian Office.

The CTExcel mobile communication service is tailored towards Chinese nationals in Italy, including students, employees of Chinese companies, tourists and expatriates. CTExcel shares China Telecom’s belief in "Customer First, Service Foremost". By following CTE’s history of supporting business travellers worldwide, CTExcel’s flexible packages and services will meet the needs of Chinese mobile users abroad, in different customer demographics.

CTExcel has partnered with Wind Tre, the largest network operator in Italy, to offer the widest coverage, along with flexible voice/data/SMS packages for customers. CTExcel also offers trilingual 24/7 customer services in Chinese, English and Italian to resolve any customer issues at any time. The "1-Card-Muti Numbers" service allows users to have an Italian primary number and a Chinese secondary number with only one SIM card, allowing customers to receive texts directly from China and make free long distance calls to their friends and family back home.

More than 200 Chinese and Italian guests from major Chinese institutions, organizations and local operators attended the virtual ceremony for the celebration. Representatives from the Chinese Consulate in Milan, China Telecom (Europe) Ltd., and CTE partner Wind Tre S.p.A. shared speeches, enabling guests to learn more about the successes of China Telecom Europe in Italy over the last two years.

Charlie Cao, Managing Director of CTE said: “CTE is delivering our new service through Wind Tre, which has the strongest and broadest network. We’re providing a high-quality mobile service that will cater the rising demands of our clients and customers – from individual callers who want to contact their families, to Italian enterprises who have businesses in China. We look forward to working with more international cooperation in broadband transmission, 5G, AI and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the future.”

CTE continues to strive for excellence in order to deliver better products and more efficient services for its customers. Relying on China Telecom's experience in both communication and digitalisation in China and Europe, CTE is now developing a broad range of communications services, including 5G, IoT and Big Data. It aims to deliver the best quality of services to companies and customers worldwide and to strengthen the cooperation between China and Europe in the field of information technology.
